If you like to do gardening, you can understand that good garden care equipment and important tools make tasks simpler to do. In addition, you can grow better plants if your equipment is working properly. When you are buying gardening tools, you always want to get good quality. In order to keep them working properly, you need to know how to use and maintain them. They should always be ready for the next gardening day.

Lawnmower

Change the oil each time you are about to start a mowing session and make sure that the spark plug wire is disconnected before you start the job. See to it that there is no gas in the tank when you lift the mower.

You should replace the spark plug whenever the mowing season starts. In order to clean the air filter, an air compressor can be used to blow the dust from an accordion filter. In case you are not able to clean it, replace it. Keeping extra filters is better for mowing season. You need to wash the foam filter with soapy water and air dry it.

Lawn Tractor

Check the electrolyte level of the battery and tighten the cables if they are loose because this causes the equipment to not start. Inspect all of the connections of the electrical parts like lights, ignition key, gauges, and clean them if necessary. You should also sharpen the blades before storage. All of the tires have to be properly inflated all the time.

Hedge Trimmer Maintenance

You need to make sure that the blades are kept sharp. If your trimmer is gas powered, replace the spark plug and inspect whether the handles, nuts and bolts are secure. Also, if you have a gas model, you need to mix the fresh gasoline and two-cycle oil based on what the manual recommends. If there is not enough oil, it can be damaging to the engine because vital parts are unlubricated. Putting too much oil could lead to poor running, failing spark plugs and excess emissions from the exhaust.

Before trimming, see if the intake vent close to the carburettor has no debris for better engine efficiency. For gas trimmers that have a clutch, make sure the blades do not start to move idly until the engine speed has been increased.

These are considerations you need to make when using garden care equipment because you want them to last long.
