Here are some reasons why you might want to get a few scissor lifts for your industrial facility.

Your staff will be (and feel) safer when accessing tall shelves

Industrial facilities often have to stack their large quantities of products, packaging and equipment on floor-to-ceiling shelving units. If this is something you do in your facility and your staff currently rely on ladders to reach the items that are on the shelves nearest the ceilings, then they would probably be very pleased with the addition of a few scissor lifts.

The reason for this is that your staff are likely to be, and feel far safer when they need to put items on or take things off these taller shelves if they're in a scissor lift whilst they do this. This is due to the scissor lift's low centre of gravity, the barrier around its platform and the fact that it is motor-operated, which means the staff members don't need to manually carry or push it, as they would with a ladder, and risk pulling one of their muscles.

Having a safer means of accessing the taller shelves will not only protect the staff and you from the consequences of work accidents, but will also mean that any staff members who are apprehensive about working at heights and find climbing ladders stressful, will not only experience less stress as a result of being safely enclosed in a scissor lift but will also be less likely to make anxiety-related errors whilst they're using this access equipment.

This equipment could reduce the chances of items stored on tall shelves getting damaged

Investing in some scissor lifts for your facility could also reduce the chances of the products or packaging you store on the tallest shelves getting damaged when your staff need to put them onto or take them off these shelving units.

The reason for this is that your staff won't need to carry the item they're removing or putting onto a shelf in their arms whilst they use a ladder, nor will they be tempted to risk tossing an item from a tall shelf onto the ground and hoping it doesn't break, to save themselves the strife of lugging it down the ladder. Instead, they can place it safely on the barrier-enclosed platform and wait for the equipment to slowly lower them down or raise them up. Over time, this could reduce the volume of inventory in your facility that gets damaged.
